Happy {Late} New Years!

Hello blog friends and those who have come across my blog by accident!  I am going to share with you my New Years' reflections, as well as some great finds, so if you don't wanna get bored, feel free to skip to the pictures of my thrifty finds!

Well, this year was full of lots of... stuff.  There were lots of ups and lots of downs, so many that it is hard to believe that the emotional roller coaster that is 2011 was all one single year.  I lost some great friends, had some scary moments, but all at the same time, I was able to find some kind of good in the small things. I realize how lucky I am to have such great people (and pets) in my life, and that they are the ones who are cheering me on.  They are the ones who love me even when I feel that I have failed, and they are the ones who I work so hard for.  Thanks to everyone for making me the person that I am!

I would share my resolutions with you all, but the truth is that they are all sort of trivial and more relevant to me personally and less entertaining to you!  I will however tell you that I do have a goal of making time for more blogging, making new blog friends, and keeping up to date with taking pictures of inventory and not to get so behind like I am now! (Eeek!)  In the past year I have picked up this new hobby of thrifting and blogging, and I really love it!  Everyone who reads or comments on my blog, or both, have really been the reason that I am keeping up with all this, YOU really inspire me, thanks!

Okay, warning here, I just whipped up this little photo box in haste, don't judge, this is (hopefully) not what my final photo "studio" will look like, so again, bear with me!

This is a picture of MY personal Pyrex collection!  Yes, only three, but I am keeping to the black and white because there are so few of them that my collection will be automatically small.  Great thinking, right?  These are all pieces that I have found myself, which I think is a lot more fun and more challenging than buying them on ebay.  I have been considering trading and I would love to hear your thoughts.  I have LOTS of Pyrex that I have yet to list in my shop, so if any of you have any black and white Pyrex, let me know and I will see if I have what you are looking for!  Even if you don't, please let me know how you feel about trading Pyrex!

I picked up this beautiful little piece of Pyrex at an AWESOME yard sale.  Yes, this was the one I was telling you about!  I also bought the "Barbed Wire" divided dish in the picture above at the same sale, great, right?!

I got this giant 404 bowl at the Estate Sale shop.  According to Pyrex Love it is the Hex Signs Promotional mixing bowl.  I think it is also really beautiful, sorry the color isn't showing up real well, it is goldleaf on a cream color.

These are a bunch of scarves I picked up a while back.  I love the mod patterns and I really wanted to put them in my Etsy shop right away, but I couldn't figure out how to take nice pictures of them...  These actually turned out better than I thought!

This is a Vera Neumann scarf, I didn't really know that they were so loved until I recently came across them on someone's blog.  ***Whoever recently posted about Vera scarves, let me know and I will give you some cred, I just can't find who posted about them!***

I just couldn't pass up this one because the print was so cute, don't you agree?

All right, so it's a blurry picture, but these are going to be a present for my grandmother who has a player piano and could use these scrolls for them!  She live in AZ as well, but unfortunately her player piano lives in their Canada home, which they will probably be selling soon.  She really searched for a player piano so I know she will find a way to keep it, and hopefully she can enjoy these!

Well, that's it for tonight, but I am heading out shopping tomorrow and hopefully will pick up some great stuff!  I can't wait to start listing again, I plan on taking some pictures of my inventory outside this week so I can get caught up!  Wish me luck, friends!
